About Keira Osborne…

Keira Osborne is a professional choreographer based in Los Angeles, California. She is currently a student at the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts pursuing a BA in Musical Theatre and USC’s Glorya Kaufman School of Dance minoring in Choreography for the Stage and Screen.

Keira has been training in dance for fifteen years in styles such as jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, tap, ballet, African, and ballroom/lLatin. She spent many years of her dance studies at the award-winning dance studio, All American Dance Factory, in her hometown of Tampa, Florida. When she turned eighteen, she moved to London for her first semester of college and spent most of her time studying dance and choreography at the famous Pineapple Studios on the West End in London under mentors Ashley Nottingham, Stephanie Martis, and John Graham. She also spent a summer at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London studying at one of the UK’s leading drama schools.

She is currently dancing and choreographing at the University of Southern California. Some of her most notable mentors at USC include Kitty NcNamee (LA Ballet and Philharmonic, worked as her Assistant Choreographer on Dance, Nation), Thomas Ford (Joffrey Ballet, Editor of Dance Spirit Magazine), Gabriella Santinelli (Olivier Award Winner), Anindo Marchall (Debbie Allen Dance Academy) and Melissa Treinkman (LA Opera, Professor of Vocal Performance). Keira is also a competitive Gold level Latin Dancer formerly representing USC on the Trojan Dancesport team at Collegiate Dancesport Competitions throughout the west coast.

Keira’s career extends beyond choreography, as she is also a successful actor and director. She has appeared in roles such as Daisy Buchanan (Biloxi Blues, professional), Amneris (Aida), Helen Keller (The Miracle Worker), Fantine (Les Miserables), Phoebe (As You Like It), and Fraulein Kost (Cabaret). She has also directed productions such as [title of show] (The 4 Chairs and a Keyboard Project), Nuclear (Carrollwood Players), and The Crucible (Independent). Keira made her New York City debut at the Greenroom 42, originating the roles of Micah in Paper Walls: A New Musical and America in Across the Divide.

Keira currently serves as the president of USC Dance Call, where she teaches dance classes to USC students in preparation for professional dance and musical theatre auditions. Keira also spent a summer semester as a middle/high school theatre and dance teacher at Pepin Academies (year-round school) in the Hillsborough County Public/Charter School system.

Keira is an avid choreographer for many of the USC Independent Student Productions. She has choreographed MTR’s She Loves Me, A New Brain, and 24 Hour Seussical, as well as BNT’s Mirror. In addition, she choreographed for film in an original short film entitled Dance, Baby by Ashley Brooke at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She recently worked as the Assistant Choreographer for USC’s Mainstage Production of Dance Nation and was the Choreographer of the 14th Annual USC Drag Show: Freak Show. She is currently working on choreographing the 15th Annual USC Drag Show: The Pageant of Troy and a piece for the USC Kaufman School of Dance’s Advanced Composition Showcase, as well as this semester, playing Phoebe/Dance Captain for the USC School of Dramatic Art’s production of As You Like It.
